Client Overview: Neue Galerie

Neue Galerie New York, the brainchild of renowned art collector Ronald S. Lauder, is one of the city's most celebrated and sophisticated jewel-box museums. Their collection of Austrian and German art is unmatched, with some of the most significant works in existence by artists like Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. And their exhibtions are among the most scholarly and refined art history presentations you can find in New York City. We've had the great pleasure of making curator-led ehxibiton films for them for more than six years.

Klimt Landscapes

For the last twenty years of his career, Gustav Klimt devoted considerable energy to painting landscapes during his summer vacations on the Attersee in the Salzkammergut region of Austria, known for its tranquil lakes. Created purely for his own pleasure, these bucolic scenes became among his most sought-after pictures and were highly coveted by collectors. Most were made in a square format—a reflection of his fascination with photography. In this video, exhibition curator Janis Staggs brings you through highlights of "Klimt Landscapes," a special exhibition presented at Neue Galerie New York.

In this video, exhibition curator Jill Lloyd takes us through the exhibition and the artist's powerufl but ultimately tragic life story.
