Client Overview: ICA Miami
In 2023, the ICA Miami commissioned us to make films exploring the practices of select living artists in their collection. For each short profile, we took a unique approach to portraying the artist's life and work—and worked to condense and distill each story down to a short format. For these films, we aimed not just to get inside the artists’ studio but inside their minds and thought processes as well.
Selected Films

Artist Film: Sam McKinniss
Here, not only do we offer viewers access to the artist at work in the studio, we see how he mines the internet for pop culture inspiration. In this short film, McKinniss speaks candidly about his own interests and how he balances his artistic and social/professional life all while living between town and country. For this, we embedded with the artist not just on in his Connecticut studio but also on his weekly commute down into New York City.

Artist Film: Ahmed Morsi
This film featured a more experimental approach wherein we mined archival assets from the artist's life and work and paired them with excerpts from some of his more autobiographical poems and writings. We interspersed new footage captured on the streets of New York to help communicate Morsi's unique feelings of displacement and melancholy as an artist living far from home.
